Bipolar Nightmare

I dreamed of a bipolar nightmare,
And then I woke up.
My mind was a rollercoaster,
A pendulum that won’t stop.

I felt so high and happy,
But then I crashed so low.
My thoughts were scattered, frantic,
And I couldn’t let them go.

I tried to find some balance,
To calm the storm inside.
But every time I thought I had it,
The waves would start to rise.

I longed for some consistency,
To feel like I was whole.
But with this bipolar nightmare,
I couldn’t find control.

So I take it day by day,
And hope for smoother skies.
For though my journey’s rocky,
I know that I can rise.
