Soulless Child

Eyes to the sky, sparks to the fire,
A soulless child devoid of desire,
No joy or sorrow, no love or hate,
A vacant shell with an empty fate.

No laughter rings from this barren heart,
No tears fall, though worlds may part,
For what is emotion to one so cold,
Whose essence has been bought and sold?

No warmth in their gaze, no kindness in their smile,
No empathy for others, no care for their trial,
For they are but a vessel, a lifeless puppet,
A husk of a being, with nothing to covet.

Eyes to the sky, sparks to the fire,
A soulless child, forever a liar,
For they may mimic what they see,
But true feelings they will never be.
