High Tide

I float on the silent ocean.
Like a stranger in Heaven
I drift between dreams and nightmares;
In silence, I cry
And my heart bleeds between my palms
Drunk in the solitude
I search for the light,
In the darkness.
In and out
Of consciousness
I reflect on life
in the moonlight.
I close my eyes,
And pray one last time.
I know it is too late to ask for forgiveness,
when all I did in life was stumble in blindness,
And it is ironic to stumble alone once again
Floating on this silent ocean starring to the moon again.
I inhale the seawater,
I drift into unconsciousness.
I exhale into Heaven.
