Lost Together

The white sands beneath our feet recorded the history of you and me,
like silent sentinels, the rocks on the shore witnessed our kisses
under the moonlight, and the wind embraced you and me.
When we offered our bodies to the gods with sparkly kisses
that illuminated the night like courting fireflies.
Lost in our trance, we tasted the sun and the moon,
the earth trembled as our bodies flooded
the white sands beneath our skins.
We gasped our names to the moon.

June it was a June night,
On the white sanded beach.
Above the gods smiled when cupid adjusted his
Quiver and prepared his arrow to
Undo us into a pair of fools
In love and
Naturally, we fell.
